Synesis Launches Next-Generation MES for Manufacturing

Synesis International is excited to announce the launch of the new generation of Synesis MES — a modern Manufacturing Execution System that brings real-time production visibility, paperless shop-floor execution, and AI-assisted production intelligence to manufacturers of every size. Plant managers see the floor in real time. Operators get the right work instruction at the right machine. Quality engineers get instant feedback when something goes wrong. And executives get production KPIs that drill down to the work order, the operator, and the machine.

Why a New MES Now

The shop floor is the most data-rich part of a manufacturing operation — and historically the least connected. Spreadsheets, paper travelers, and end-of-shift data entry leave plant leadership flying blind for hours at a time. The new Synesis MES closes that loop with real-time data capture, intelligent scheduling, and tight integration with quality and maintenance, so a missed inspection, a machine that's drifting out of spec, or a labor variance shows up the moment it happens — not the next morning.

What's in the Platform

Synesis MES covers the full execution lifecycle from order release through shipment:

  • Part Master & BOM — Multi-level bills of material with revision control and effective dating
  • Routings — Operation sequences with setup, run, and inspection times; configurable per work center
  • Work Orders — Release, dispatch, and track work orders against the schedule with real-time status
  • Workstation & Operator Interface — Touch-friendly shop-floor terminals with the right work instruction, drawing, and inspection plan for the active operation
  • Production Posting — Real-time production, scrap, and labor reporting; automatic backflush against BOM and routing
  • Labor & Time Tracking — Direct labor capture, indirect activities, and earned-hours reporting
  • Shop Floor Dashboards — Live OEE, throughput, and WIP visibility for supervisors and plant leadership
  • KPI Drilldown — Click any production KPI to see the work orders, operators, machines, and shifts behind it

Closed-Loop With Quality and Maintenance

The defining feature of Synesis MES is that it is not a standalone production tracker. Quality inspection points are embedded directly into the routing — a failed in-process check stops the lot and creates a nonconformance in Synesis QMS with the work order, lot number, operator, and machine all attached. Production-critical equipment maintenance is coordinated through Synesis CMMS, so an asset that's flagged for service is reflected immediately in MES capacity planning. The AI looks across all three streams to spot patterns — a particular operator/machine combination producing more nonconformances, a shift with rising downtime, a routing that consistently runs over standard.

Built for the Plant Floor

Synesis MES was designed by people who have spent time on shop floors — not in conference rooms. Operator interfaces are touch-friendly, work instruction display is fast, barcode scanning is built in, and the system runs on commodity tablets, panel PCs, or fixed-station workstations. There is no per-operator software license cost.

Deploy Where You Want

Synesis MES is hosting-agnostic. You choose where it runs:

  • On-premise behind your plant firewall, low-latency to the shop floor — the typical deployment for production-critical execution
  • Microsoft Azure, integrated with your existing Azure tenant
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS), on your existing infrastructure
  • Hybrid — local production servers with cloud reporting and analytics

The system runs on a modern Microsoft license-free architecture but integrates deeply with SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Azure, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Copilot — without per-user Microsoft 365 license dependencies.

Available Now

Synesis QMS, MES, and CMMS are available immediately for new and existing customers. The platform runs on a modern Microsoft license-free architecture and deploys where you choose — on-premise, on Microsoft Azure, on Amazon Web Services, or on the hosted solution of your choice. No vendor lock-in. No per-user Microsoft 365 license dependency.

Part of an Integrated Manufacturing Platform

Synesis MES is the production-execution pillar of a three-system manufacturing platform that also includes Synesis QMS for closed-loop quality and Synesis CMMS for asset and maintenance management. The three systems share data, share workflows, and share an AI engine that learns across quality, production, and maintenance.
